Numbers 13 has the story of 12 men who were commissioned to spy out the Promised Land in preparation for the conquering of that land. With the promise in their mind, they set out. By the time of their return, 10 of them had turned the promise from the Almighty God into an impossibility (even though they had just seen God destroy the Egyptians). Hebrews 3 tells us it was because of an evil heart of unbelief. Joshua and Caleb chose to believe the Word of God despite what they saw. Our success in the Christian life is more often than not based on our willingness to believe the Word of God, even if it does not make sense or match what our 5 senses perceive.
This website on Living and Not Dying is targeted at fundamentalist Bible Believers, who are sold out to God. It will be most meaningful to those who have chosen to live under the Lordship of Jesus; to those who believe that the Word of God in the Bible is the final yardstick, the ultimate truth. This type of Christian will believe and accept the Word of God over the teachings and opinions of all others and, more importantly, even over their own current beliefs. Choose to believe the Word of God.
